This photo is of a carved wooden mushroom in Stover woods. I did some editing in Paint Shop Pro using the Gaussian blur effect and some other effects which I thought it gave it a kind of magical fairytale look.

- At the start of 2007 I set myself a challenge, to take a photo each day and post it to my blog. The idea is to get me out in the fresh air a bit more, exploring places I wouldn't normally go to, and to improve my photographic and editing techniques. There may be the odd day here and there that I don't have time or inclination to take a photo, but I'll still try and make a blog entry using a photo I have taken previously. This blog isn't really a diary as such, it’s more about my photos than about me. My camera is a FujiFilm FinePix E900.
