Took advantage of a bit of nice weather and went to Stover Lake for a walk. It was quite late by the time we got there but that made for some interesting light. I could really feel like spring was beginning to creep throught the heaviness of winter. There were a lot of birds too, some that I had never noticed before. I saw Cormorants, a Grey Heron, a pair of Great Crested Grebes, a pair of Mute Swans, Mallards, Coots, Moorhens, Rooks, Tufted Ducks, Gadwalls(?), Canada Geese, Pochards and many others. This photo is of some catkins and their reflection.
At the start of 2007 I set myself a challenge, to take a photo each day and post it to my blog. The idea is to get me out in the fresh air a bit more, exploring places I wouldn't normally go to, and to improve my photographic and editing techniques. There may be the odd day here and there that I don't have time or inclination to take a photo, but I'll still try and make a blog entry using a photo I have taken previously. This blog isn't really a diary as such, it’s more about my photos than about me. My camera is a FujiFilm FinePix E900.
